Tonganoxie powerlifting nabs individual crowns at state | News, Sports, Jobs

Tonganoxie powerlifting team member Marshall Wright wins his overall category at state Saturday in Wellington.

Tongaxoie powerlifting teams won individual titles and finished among the top squads in the team titles Saturday in Wellington.

Jamison Lorfing won the overall gold for the girls team in the 114-pound division, while Marshall Wright won the overall title for the boys at 156.

Others on the medals stand for overall performances were Emma Lorfing in second at 132 for the girls and Nieko Hernandez (132) and Jorge Munoz (165) in third for the boys.

The THS girls placed fifth as a team, while the THS boys were sixth. Wellington won the boys team title; Ottawa won the boys team title.
