Highlights from the 2026 Arnold Classic Classic Physique prejudging.
The Classic Physique prejudging took place on Friday afternoon as part of the 2026 Arnold Classic. The division saw a major shakeup as reigning champion Mike Sommerfeld reportedly did not make weight during the official check-in and will not compete this weekend. This leaves the door open for the rest of the division to step up after Sommerfeld’s exit.

The Classic Physique division included the return of Wesley Vissers, who has great experience in Columbus as a former champion. The crowd also flocked to prejudging to watch the pro debut of Sam Sulek. The judges eventually gave fans a chance to see Sulek and Vissers pose next to one another, but it was not in the first callout.
Vissers spent time in the middle with Matheus Menegate. The first callout also included Andrea Mammoli and Kim Angel. As callouts went on, it was clear that Vissers and Menegate separated from the pack. Judges put them back in the middle to get a final look.
