Larry Wheels is continuing his bodybuilding journey and building his physique in an elite way. He has joined some of the other stars of the industry, and that includes the very top of the sport. Wheels recently joined 2x Olympia champion Derek Lunsford for a posing session recently.

Wheels has gone through many different challenges in the fitness world. He began in powerlifting, putting up major numbers in the gym and this made him an extremely popular figure in fitness. Wheels has gone from lifting to arm wrestling and into bodybuilding during his career.
In 2024, Wheels announced that he would put his bodybuilding goals on hold after a relapsing and going back on his steroid cycle. He was working toward earning his Pro Card in bodybuilding. Wheels finished as the runner-up at the 2023 Amateur Olympia and came close to accomplishing this goal.
Larry Wheels ultimately made a return to bodybuilding and accomplished his goal of earning his Pro Card. Wheels was victorious in the Classic Physique division at the Musclecontest Bullman Pro Qualifier in May 2025.

It is unknown what Larry Wheels’ plans are for bodybuilding moving forward. What we do know is Wheels continues to train at a high level and has joined the best of the best.

Derek Lunsford previously shared that he will not compete at the Arnold Classic as he prepares to defend his title at the Olympia. At the end of the conversation with Ron Harris, Lunsford shared that he wants to focus on his family more in 2026. His daughter is due to be born in February, just one month before the Arnold. This is one major reason why he plans to miss the Arnold. He will also not defend his title in Pittsburgh. Lunsford plans to attend the Arnold and shows in Pittsburgh, New York, and Tampa.
Lunsford set a goal to complete bodybuilding’s trifecta after his victories at the Arnold Classic and Pittsburgh Pro. He accomplished this goal by winning his second Olympia title. Hadi Choopan finished as the runner-up once again. It was a big-time performance by Andrew Jacked, who was one of the most improved bodybuilders over the course of the year, finishing in third place.
