Professional bodybuilder Jason Lowe has died at age 38, his wife Ashley Lowe confirmed in a Jan. 22 post on his Instagram.
Lowe competed in bodybuilding from 2015 to 2025, and competed in Mr. Olympia in 2019 and 2020.
“Today will be the hardest day of my life,” Ashley Lowe wrote in a tribute posted to Instagram. “I don’t know if words will ever be enough to hold what you meant to me, because they all feel so small in comparison. You made me a better version of myself, and you were going to be the absolute best dad. Saying that I’m devastated doesn’t even begin to touch the depth of this loss. I’m sitting here in our backyard writing this in your Olympia jacket, trying to feel close to you, trying to make sense of a world that already feels different without you in it.”
A GoFundMe posted on behalf of Lowe’s family called his death an “unexpected tragedy.”
Lowe placed sixteen in his Olympia debut in 2019, then placed 11th in the 212 division the following year, according to The National Physique Committee.
He also made two appearances at the Arnold Sports Festival, where he placed seventh in the Men’s Classic Physique division in 2019.
