She posted the heartbreaking update on January 22 and has continued to post photos of the pair in memory of him.

The post said: “Today will be the hardest day of my life.

“I don’t know if words will ever be enough to hold what you meant to me, because they all feel so small in comparison.

“You made me a better version of myself, and you were going to be the absolute best dad.

“Saying that I’m devastated doesn’t even begin to touch the depth of this loss.

“I’m sitting here in our backyard writing this in your Olympia jacket, trying to feel close to you, trying to make sense of a world that already feels different without you in it.”

According to National Physique Committee, Lowe regularly competed in bodybuilding contests between 2015 and 2022.

He was a two-time Olympia competitor.

Lowe made his first appearance in 2019 in the Men’s Classic Division where he placed 16th, before coming 11th in the 212 division the following year.

He also peaked at seventh place in the Men’s Classic Physique during the Arnold Classic across two appearances.

Nicknamed “Broku”, combining Bro with Goku from the Dragon Ball series, his exploits earned him a huge social media following of 104,000 on Instagram alone.

A friend who started a GoFundMe page on behalf of Ashley and the rest of the Lowe family said his passing had been “unexpected”.

Lowe, from Florida, was well respected in the weightlifting community.

According to Dave Palumbo, via the RX Muscle YouTube channel, Lowe was training with a client when he suddenly “dropped”.

Tributes were echoed across the bodybuilding community.

John Jewett said: “Jason was always a friendly face to see at shows.”

Jason Hutchinson wrote: “Jason was awesome every time we talked or saw each other.”

WWE star Kevin Nash also shared his feelings, writing: “He was so kind, humble. I won’t forget my friend.”
