The first ICN Bodybuilding Championships take place on October 29 at The Benn Hall, Rugby, Warwickshire. ICN (I Compete Natural) is now a global fitness brand promoting good nutrition and natural drug free competitions.
It was founded in Australia by former rugby player turned businessman Wayne McDonald in 1991. He saw a gap in the market for healthy fitness developed by an optimised diet and hard work without the use of drugs or steroids. Then called INBA, it was rebranded last year and 26 years later Wayne is still the chairman of what is fast becoming a global brand.
There are championships in Australia, the Czech Republic, Canada and now at the end of this month, the UK. The emphasis is on enjoyable competition, and there are various categories including Male Fitness Model Model and Mr. Physique, ICN UK Mr. and Ms. Best Posing Routine, Ms. Figure, Ms. Runway and Bikini Model. The full list can be found on the ICN website with tickets available to go along and watch this fabulous show from here.
The President of newly established ICN United Kingdom is Milan Panek. With an impressive background in natural bodybuilding, Milan Panek entered and won the World INBA Championships in June 2012. It was during this competition that Milan met the founder, Wayne McDonald, and the Czech Republic and European President, Tomas Prochazka. A firm alliance and friendship was formed between the three men; after much hard work and collaboration this ultimately led to the ICN being established in the UK.
Milan’s website showcases his personal achievements, and offers advice and training as well as posing seminars for competitors, some even available via Skype if you live too far away to attend in person. He also offers training sessions, dietary and fitness advice along with motivational tips and inspiration to achieve personal goals and progress your fitness journey.
ICN’s ethos of drug free competition without drugs or steroids is good news for many people who have considered training but believe gyms are for oversized men enhanced by steroids.
Indeed, the latest Crime Survey for England and Wales, carried by BMRB on behalf of and published by The Home Office, states steroid use has increased four fold in the 12 months leading up to July 2017 and steroid use is particularly popular with young men seeking fast results.
Steroids are long recorded as causing health problems, and they won’t provide the sense of personal achievement that natural fitness will. ICN are committed to proving no one needs to use steroids either to bulk muscle or develop a toned physique so go along on October 29 to see for yourself how with some hard work and dietary changes you could achieve and smash your fitness goals!
