\n Tamlyn Robertson won the title of Men\u2019s Physique Athlete at the World Championships in Florence.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The 30-year-old said he is extremely delighted to have won the tile by staying drug free throughout his life.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe [drug free bodybuilders] are a little bit smaller than you’d expect. We are not an Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, we still look just as good, but just in a smaller package,\u201d said Tam, as he is known.\n<\/p>\n
\n READ MORE:\u00a0Two Basingstoke locations ‘earmarked’ as potential sites for new football stadium, club chairman says<\/a><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n \n A logistics coordinator by profession, Tam said working from home has helped him hit the gym regularly over the past two-and-half years.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cI do gym five days a week \u2013 from about 6pm to 8.30pm. It’s not a lot of cardio. I do just 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day, and then two hours weightlifting,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cAnd then it’s just a case of making sure you eat really well \u2013 a lot of whole foods, a lot of chicken steak, sweet potato, brown and white rice and vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and sweet corn peas. They have good carbohydrates a good a lot of protein.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \n Tam said he is happy to stay \u201cnatural\u201d and drug free.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cI don\u2019t want to look like a cow,\u201d he said. \u201cIt’s all fun, healthy stuff. Obviously, it takes a lot to do because you have to get in quite incredible condition. You have to get to around four to seven\u00a0per cent body fat. So you look extremely lean. But obviously you look extremely good.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \n Tam is also a fitness coach. He helps people with diet or to prepare for a show.\n<\/p>\n \n SEE ALSO:\u00a0Woman with additional needs enjoys holiday in Canary Islands<\/a><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n \n Although he started going to the gym when he was 19, it has\u00a0only been three years since he began to focus on bodybuilding.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cLast year I decided to give the sport a go,\u201d Tam said.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cSo I went and competed at a regional show, I came fifth, which was okay but not the best. So I went away for a few weeks and tweaked a couple of the poses, tweaked the way the body looks and then came back and then I came second in my regional.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cThen I got invited to the British finals last year and I actually won the whole thing.
