Andrew Bostinto <\/strong>has achieved great things over the course of his life and is still reaching new heights. This includes making history on the bodybuilding stage.<\/p>\n In May, the 100-year-old World War II veteran stepped on bodybuilding stage<\/a><\/span> in the Men\u2019s Physique division becoming the oldest bodybuilder to compete.<\/p>\n Bostinto took the stage in the NGA Gator Classic on May 10 where he was able to continue his lifestyle of physical fitness. The National Gym Association announced the achievement.<\/p>\n \u201cCongratulations to Andrew Bostinto on his incredible feat in becoming the WORLD OLDEST BODYBUILDER at 100 years and 4 months young!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Jim Arrington<\/a> is currently recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world\u2019s oldest bodybuilder at 92 years old. According to the NGA, Bostinto did not qualify for Guinness because he is not currently an IFBB Pro. <\/p>\n \u201cIt has been determined that Andrew Bostinto does not qualify for the Guinness World Record because he is not a PRO with the IFBB. Maybe, there needs to be a Drug-Free Oldest Bodybuilder in the World!! Plus Guinness wanted a minimum of $16,000. This is all a money-making business and nothing else.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Andrew Bostinto celebrated his 100th birthday by getting in a workout in the gym. This is not surprising when looking at his track record. Training since 1938, Bostinto has devoted his life to being a natural bodybuilder who supports drug-free strength training.<\/p>\n Known as the \u201cgodfather of natural bodybuilding<\/a><\/span>,\u201d Bostinto founded the National Gym Association in 1979. This is a non-profit organization that remains active to this day. Bostinto has been able to continue his support of natural training<\/a><\/span> within the organization by encouraging other athletes.<\/p>\n In 1963, Andrew Bostinto opened the Olympia Gym and Health Club in Queens, NY. This is where he was able to train at the highest level to achieve his goals of being a bodybuilder. Bostinto won the Pro Mr. America competition in 1977 as a natural competitor.<\/p>\n Along with his incredible achievements in bodybuilding, Bostinto earned the Bronze Star for his contributions during World War II.<\/p>\n Bostinto has also worked as an official during many events. This includes the 1970 and 1971 Olympia.
