Tommi Thompson wins the 2022 Natural Olympia title!\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n

The <\/span>2022 Natural Olympia<\/b> results are in! The 2022 Natural Olympia took place at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino from November 10-13. And it was <\/span>Tommi Thompson<\/span><\/b><\/a> that came out on top.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tommi Thompson won the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Open division at Natural Olympia. Earlier this summer, Thompson shared some contest prep tips before competing at the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA)\/Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association (PNBA) Pro\/Am <\/span>World Championships<\/span><\/span><\/a> in Florence, Italy. Of course, his prep and training with former Natural Olympia champ <\/span>Philip Ricardo Jr.<\/span><\/a><\/span> have paid off now that he\u2019s the champ of the biggest natural bodybuilding show globally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The INBA PNBA, the largest natural bodybuilding organization globally, hosts the Super Bowl of bodybuilding. Natural Olympia is akin to <\/span>Mr. Olympia<\/span><\/span><\/a> except with one big difference\u2013as the name implies, it\u2019s for naturals only. Bodybuilders that compete in Natural Olympia are thoroughly drug tested through the World Anti-Doping Agency <\/span>(WADA)<\/span><\/a><\/span> guidelines\u2013the most superior drug testing standards in professional sports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The cash prizes aren\u2019t nearly as big as the ones in the International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Pro. For example, the 2022 Mr. Olympia champ <\/span>Hadi Choopan<\/span><\/span><\/a> won a whopping $400,000 winning Mr. Olympia, compared to Thompson\u2019s $3,000 payout for winning the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Open division at Natural Olympia. And, of course, as natural athletes, there\u2019s a considerable size difference between the athletes in the INBA PNBA league compared to the IFBB Pro athletes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year Natural Olympia saw many prominent faces, including the legend and former Natural Olympia champ Philip Ricardo Jr., Hall of Famer <\/span>Chad Martin<\/span><\/span><\/a>, and 3x Natural Olympia Classic Physique champ <\/span>Brandon Lirio<\/span><\/a><\/span>. And Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Masters top competitor <\/span>Peter Cichonski<\/span><\/a><\/span> and former Bikini Divas champ <\/span>Kayla Rowling<\/span><\/a><\/span>. In addition, 6x Natural Olympia champ <\/span>Kiyoshi Moody<\/span><\/a><\/span> came out of retirement to step on the Pinnacle of Natural Bodybuilding stage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, many reigning champs from <\/span>2021 Natural Olympia<\/span><\/a><\/span> came back to reclaim their title: <\/span>Alondra Chatman<\/span><\/span><\/a> (Figure Open ), <\/span>Derek Joe<\/span><\/a><\/span> (Classic Physique Open ), <\/span>Tamer Baraka<\/span>t<\/span><\/a> (Classic Physique Masters ), <\/span>Arely Ayala<\/span><\/a><\/span> (Angels ), <\/span>Hilary Grant<\/span><\/a><\/span> (Figure Masters), and <\/span>Claire Burton<\/span><\/a><\/span> (Women\u2019s Physique Masters).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
