\n \u201cI used to be quite overweight. I\u2019ve sacrificed a lot for this lifestyle, and it\u2019s taken a long time to get rid of old habits, but now it\u2019s my passion.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cAs I watched my body change I thought, \u2018I want to do this, I want to compete, I know I can do it.\u2019\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Lorna entered the Central Championships, hosted by the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation (BNBF) on Sunday, July 21 at The Alban Arena in St Albans.\n<\/p>\n
\n The not-for-profit federation celebrates natural athletes and adheres to a very stringent drug testing policy.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lorna said: \u201cIt\u2019s all my own achievement and I love the way I look now. It has been trial and error along the way but I\u2019ve worked so hard to get where I am.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe most important things are dedication, diet, and being focussed. As for training, seventy percent is down to diet and 30 percent of it is down to the gym.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The competition had two rounds, a pre-judging contest involving all the category competitors, and an individual 60-second routine to music.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lorna said: \u201cI was nervous at first, but I practiced day and night to get my routine perfect, including all my poses.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Lorna will now compete in the British Finals on Sunday, September 25 in Manchester.\n<\/p>\n
\n If she achieves a good place, she will be invited to compete for a \u2018natural pro card\u2019, which identifies her as a professional bodybuilder.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lorna added: \u201cI want to be a role model for people that want to transform themselves, and show people it can be done if you put your mind to it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
