A bodybuilder has finally secured a world title, 20 years after he began competing.<\/p>\n

Tim Rosiek from Walgherton, Cheshire, had previously come second in the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association (NABBA) world championships on four occasions.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old, who is originally from Woore, secured the world title at an event in Austria in June.<\/p>\n

The personal trainer described the victory as a “sheer test of mental and physical strength,” after being a runner-up so many times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Having started out competing at regional and national level in junior classes two decades ago, he said winning a world title had not really sunk in yet.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been runner-up in the world four times and always sought the ultimate \u2013 to become world champion, the biggest title in amateur bodybuilding.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The father-of-two, who bought his first set of weights at the age of 12, said he enjoyed the routine of bodybuilding.<\/p>\n

“When you see the reward, everything changing and you’re looking better, you feel better,” he said.<\/p>\n

It takes about three months to recover from the show due to the stress of the diet, said Mr Rosiek, who is now targeting the title of Mr Universe in 2025.<\/p>\n

The training for that was “already planned out and ready to go,” he said.<\/p>\n

Previous winners of the title of Mr Universe include Arnold Schwarzenegger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
