Jayne Trcka, the celebrated American bodybuilder, fitness model and actress, died on December 12, 2025, at the age of 62.<\/p>\n

Jayne Trcka passed away at 62 in San Diego in December. The cause of death is still under investigation.(X and Instagram | natanaelcassiano and Shawn White)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Trcka’s son told TMZ<\/a> that his mother died in San Diego. The cause is still being investigated, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner, who also confirmed the death.<\/p>\n

A San Diego Medical Examiner spokesperson told the U.S. Sun, \u201cThere was trauma to the body, but we wouldn\u2019t be able to indicate the cause of death at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her son went on to say that he was unaware of any underlying illness or condition that could account for her unexpected death.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement sources who talked with TMZ said that after several days of attempting and failing to get in touch with Trcka via the phone, a close friend started to worry.<\/p>\n

When the friend visited her home to see how she was doing, she was found unconscious in the kitchen. When first responders came following a 911 call, they declared her dead on the spot.<\/p>\n

Rise in fitness and competitive bodybuilding<\/h2>\n

Jayne Trcka moved to Southern California <\/a>in 1986 and quickly immersed herself in weight training and competitive fitness.<\/p>\n

She began competing in bodybuilding events in the late 1980s and gained prominence in the sport through the 1990s with notable finishes in national and regional competitions.<\/p>\n

Trcka worked as a post carrier as well, but eventually left that career in 1998 and became a certified personal trainer.<\/p>\n

Her athleticism and dedication saw her featured in major fitness magazines such as Flex, MuscleMag International and Women\u2019s Physique World.<\/p>\n

Transition to acting<\/h2>\n

Trcka made her film debut in the 2000 horror spoof Scary Movie<\/a>. She played the most well-known role of her portfolio.<\/p>\n

She then gradually appeared in television shows, including Whose Line Is It Anyway and The Drew Carey Show. She also did some other films like The Black Magic in 2002 and Cattle Call in 2006.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
