He then improved his performance to lift 192kg in his second attempt.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>However, he could not lift 201kg in his final attempt and finished with a best lift of 192kg.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>What is para powerlifting?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Para powerlifting is a bench press event that tests an athlete&#8217;s upper-body strength. Athletes compete in different weight categories, but the sport has only one discipline.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>The sport is open to athletes with impairments in their hips or legs.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Ashok&#8217;s journey<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Ashok hails from Gohana in Haryana&#8217;s Sonipat district.
