problems<\/a> following a \u201cfull mental crisis,\u201d the coroner said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/16\/us-news\/south-carolina-personal-trainer-elena-moore-goes-missing-last-spotted-walking-toward-wooded-area\/\">Elena Moore<\/a>, 39, died from complications of cardiac dysrhythmia with premature ventricular contractions, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher added that the manner of death was natural and that authorities \u201cnever saw anything that indicated homicide.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Elena Moore went missing on June 11, 2026. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@moorefit_pt<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The\u00a0bodybuilder was seen at a Planet Fitness in Lexington \u2014 about 14 miles outside Columbia \u2014 before <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/19\/us-news\/missing-personal-trainer-was-scared-for-her-life-before-body-found-in-search-best-friend-says\/\">heading toward a wooded area<\/a> behind a nearby Lowe\u2019s Home Improvement store on the night of June 11.<\/p>\n<p>Her body was found days later on June 17, with neighbors reporting that she\u2019d been exhibiting strange behavior in the week leading up to her disappearance.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Fisher said that Moore \u2013\u2013 who spent the first seven years of her life in an orphanage in Russia before being adopted in the US \u2014\u00a0 was first found to have had an irregular heartbeat when she was 14.<\/p>\n<p>In March or April of last year, she was found to be suffering\u00a0from anxiety and ADHD, and was referred to a psychiatrist but did not attend, according to Fisher.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Moore\u2019s cause of death has been revealed. <span class=\"credit\">Facebook\/Elena Moore<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Then, in June last year, she was told to wear a heart monitor when she was formally diagnosed with cardiac dysrhythmia, sinus tachycardia, and hypertension.<\/p>\n<p>In the lead-up to her death, Moore was first reported missing on June 5 and was found after a 911 call, sitting on a curb, complaining of chest pains and in an \u201caltered mental state,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p>She had been pretending to be a DoorDash delivery worker and was taken to ER, the coroner said.<\/p>\n<p>An assessment found that she was in \u201cfull mental crisis at this point\u201d and Moore was involuntarily committed by the hospital to a local inpatient mental health facility. \u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Moore was seen on camera at Planet Fitness in Lexington. <span class=\"credit\">Lexington Police Dept.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s diagnosed at this facility with an unspecified psychosis, with paranoia and delusions, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorder, alcoholism, and cannabis use disorder,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p>Moore stayed at the facility for five days and did not appear to have been receiving her heart meds before being released on June 11, the coroner claimed.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher said that Moore\u2019s husband, Brannon Slice, was called and said he would pick her up but was told that the facility href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/22\/us-news\/neighbors-reported-missing-personal-trainer-appeared-confused-in-bizarre-interaction-days-before-she-was-found-dead\/\">Moore took the taxi<\/a> to a CVS where she had worked previously, told the manager that she was being stalked by the taxi driver and left the store with four bottles of wine and a bottle of water.<\/p>\n<div and crossing a road at around 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher said that the autopsy found no evidence of sexual assault or other traumatic physical injury.<\/p>\n<p>She also pointed to high temperatures of
