Joey Swoll remains upbeat after another heart scare saw him rushed to hospital on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. Fortunately, the social media influencer said that he is \u201cdoing better\u201d in an update on October 6.<\/p>\n
Swoll, whose real name is Joey Sergo, shot to fame with his analysis of various gym scenarios, blasting attention seekers who attempt to entrap other members to star in their videos for engagement, and serving up his own style of gym justice while encouraging the use of gymnasiums as a positive space for making a brave change.<\/p>\n
The news of Swoll\u2019s latest heart issue comes after he was diagnosed with \u201cgeneric irregularities\u201d in January 2023<\/a>. He received corrective surgery back then, but required emergency care in April 2024 after part of a medical tool was left in body<\/a>, forcing the bodybuilder and cultural commentator to undergo a six-hour operation to save his life. At that time, news of Swoll\u2019s suffering drew support from his legions of fans, including Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson and seven-time Olympia 212 Champion, Flex Lewis.<\/p>\n While Sergo did not elaborate on the specifics of his current predicament, he did share that \u201cIt\u2019s been a rough few days,\u201d in the Oct. 6 Instagram update for his 5.5 million Instagram followers. \u201cI\u2019m still here, but doing better.
