In a September 28 video, coach Chris Aceto recapped <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/nick-walker\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"nick-walker\">Nick Walker<\/a>\u2019s epic victory at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2026-mr-olympia-results\/\">2026 Mr. Olympia<\/a>. Looking back on the event, <strong>he believes <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/derek-lunsford\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"derek-lunsford\">Derek Lunsford<\/a> actually brought the sharpest conditioning of the lineup.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las Vegas, Nevada, served as the ultimate proving ground for the world\u2019s best bodybuilders. Though Derek Lunsford, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/andrew-jacked\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"andrew-jacked\">Andrew Jacked<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/samson-dauda\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"samson-dauda\">Samson Dauda<\/a> headed into the contest as the on-paper favorites, it was Walker who emerged victorious. \u201cThe Mutant\u201d won with <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-2026-olympia-victory\/\">lights-out conditioning and strong mandatory poses<\/a>, which he improved with better waist control.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the end, former two-time champ Derek Lunsford dropped to third place. In the show\u2019s aftermath, he admitted that he <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/derek-lunsford-2026-mr-olympia-third-no-excuses\/\">felt off and said his muscles weren\u2019t firing correctly<\/a>. Despite saying as much, his coach, Aceto, doesn\u2019t believe Lunsford missed the mark at the 2026 Mr. Olympia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"chris-aceto-says-lunsford-was-most-conditioned-at-2026-mr-olympia-argues-walker-won-on-muscularity\">Chris Aceto Says Lunsford Was Most Conditioned at 2026 Mr. Olympia, Argues Walker Won on Muscularity \u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>In the video, Aceto analyzed some of the poses between Lunsford and Walker. I will say this: I really liked the way Nick has improved,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=IaI_qigtwdE&amp;ra=m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a> Aceto. \u201cI think the only person who had a Christmas tree [on their back] was Derek.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cI thought his condition was the best in the show. I think the level of muscularity, which is different from condition, Nick had the most amount of muscularity in the show. Then, I think Samson at the finals; the judges saw it as okay. Well, tonight, Samson has the combination of muscularity and condition.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As for the side triceps pose, he thought Lunsford\u2019s legs had more polish on them, whereas the most muscular went to Walker without question.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI like the lower body of Derek. Well, Nick has got a bigger leg from the side. Derek has the crazy condition on the side leg. I can see it splitting hairs there [in the side triceps pose]. I don\u2019t know. Nick is bigger through the actual arm.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m stuttering on that because I thought, in person, I would have had Derek throughout the prejudging [on side triceps pose]. It\u2019s the fullest his pecs have ever been. Yeah, most muscular is Nick\u2019s bursting arms. Front lat: Derek, but Nick has improved that a lot.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Although the night did not go in Lunsford or Jacked\u2019s favor, Aceto didn\u2019t dispute the results. He also gave his thoughts on Dauda\u2019s impressive runner-up finish.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBy their own judging, which I\u2019m not in dispute of, they didn\u2019t contradict themselves. They just judged what was in front of them, again, at the finals. They decided, you know what? Just because Samson, we all had him third in the prejudging, we are marking the scorecards with what we\u2019re seeing right now.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, the two guys that were in first and second, one point separating them. Out of prejudging, even that had no factor on how they judged the finals.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Men\u2019s Open division isn\u2019t at a standstill despite Walker being crowned as the new champion. Already, he and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/andrew-jacked-will-compete-at-2027-arnold-classic\/\">Andrew Jacked<\/a> have <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-hints-at-2027-arnold-classic-return-after-winning-mr-olympia\/\">confirmed their entries<\/a> for the upcoming 2027 Arnold Classic. Should Walker secure the victory, he\u2019d not only become a two-time Arnold Classic champion, but he\u2019d rake in well over $1 million in prize earnings in less than six months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The sport continues to change and evolve at a rapid pace.
