In a September 30 video,<strong> judge Terrick El Guindy recapped the event and broke down the poses that helped turn <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/nick-walker\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"nick-walker\">Nick Walker<\/a> into the new champion.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heading into this year\u2019s \u2018Super Bowl of Bodybuilding,\u2019 Walker was largely counted out. His drop to sixth place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">2025 Mr. Olympia<\/a> soured fans and bodybuilding veterans about his future chances. Despite the doubts, \u201cThe Mutant\u201d bounced back with an impressive silver medal finish at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/arnold-classic\/2026\/\">2026 Arnold Classic<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From there, he mapped out his next contest. With a <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-talks-new-coach-talks-training-split-tampa-pro\/\">new coach in his corner<\/a>, Walker dominated the<a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2026-tampa-pro-results\/\"> 2026 Tampa Pro<\/a> and earned his Olympia qualification. For months, the bodybuilding community was adamant that he couldn\u2019t win the Sandow unless his rivals missed the mark. That turned out to be completely false. Walker beat an improved <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/derek-lunsford\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"derek-lunsford\">Derek Lunsford<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/samson-dauda\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"samson-dauda\">Samson Dauda<\/a> to make history. His name is now in the history of our sport. Nick Walker has done it. Yes, physically, he has the most amazing arms. The biceps, the triceps, when you look at his back double biceps, which was dominated by Derek Lunsford in previous years, Nick Walker developed thickness, detail, and width.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He argued that the sport has not seen a back double biceps pose like his, suggesting that even past Mr. Olympias with dynasties lacked his level of detail:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI think from the lower half in the hamstrings from the back double biceps, we haven\u2019t seen anything like it in years. I don\u2019t even think some of the Mr. Olympias in the past that have had dynasties have had the hamstrings that he has and the thickness on the lower half on the back double biceps and the back lat spread.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>El Guindy also spoke on Walker\u2019s powerful side poses, along with his abdominals and thigh shot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHe is good at bodybuilding. He wins the side chest; he wins the side triceps. How about the abdominals and thighs? Everybody is talking about lines and shape. He might have one of the smallest waists if you just measure it. Yes, when he hits the abdominals and thighs, there\u2019s that thickness, but the waist itself is small.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Having faced doubts for years, El Guindy praised him for proving everyone wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhy is Nick Walker different? Because never in the history of our sport have we had one competitor with so many doubters. Everybody, experts, fans, other competitors, they said you will never do it. You can never win the Mr. Olympia. Nick Walker doesn\u2019t have the tools to win. People need to be off for Nick Walker to win the event. Nick Walker has proven everybody wrong,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=rLcKE04AvNA&amp;ra=m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a> Terrick El Guindy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Though some Mr. Olympias opt to take time off after making history, that won\u2019t be the case for Nick Walker. In a post-event interview, he said that he <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-hints-at-2027-arnold-classic-return-after-winning-mr-olympia\/\">plans to compete at the upcoming 2027 Arnold Classic<\/a>, scheduled for March 4-7 in Columbus, Ohio. Should he earn the victory, he\u2019d become a two-time Arnold Classic champ.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The future looks bright for Nick Walker.
