According to <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/bob-cicherillo\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"bob-cicherillo\">Bob Cicherillo<\/a>, it\u2019s neither. In a September 13 video, <strong>he gave his thoughts on Dauda\u2019s recent Europa Pro victory<\/strong>. He emphasized that if he brings that same level of conditioning to the Mr. Olympia, Dauda wouldn\u2019t crack the top three.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Having <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2024-olympia-results\/\">claimed the Sandow trophy<\/a> in 2024, fans thought Samson Dauda was on his way to becoming the next long-standing Olympia champion. However, he chased sharper conditioning a year later, and it came with a high cost. Dauda <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">appeared undersized onstage<\/a>, and his side and rear poses fell short against the new champion, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/derek-lunsford\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"derek-lunsford\">Derek Lunsford<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He pushed on at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-evls-prague-pro-results\/\">Prague Pro<\/a>, but still hadn\u2019t regained the size he lost while shredding down for the Olympia. Dauda ultimately claimed second place against <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/martin-fitzwater\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"martin-fitzwater\">Martin Fitzwater<\/a>. Vowing to <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/samson-dauda-reveals-off-season-plan-wants-to-weigh-350-lbs\/\">bring the monster back<\/a>, Dauda lived up to his words and dominated the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/contests\/2026-europa-pro-show\/\">2026 Europa Pro<\/a>. This conditioning that he displayed today is not going to place in the top three at the Olympia. I think he knows that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cicherillo added that Dauda isn\u2019t behind or ahead, but urged him to improve his conditioning:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI think he just went in, tried to recapture the magic of two years ago when he did similar with France leading up to the Olympia, and I think that was a great move. Did he capture that magic again? We\u2019re going to see in a few weeks but he needs to do some homework. He looks about two weeks out in my opinion, for what we really need to see from Samson to be a contender to get that title back.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs he behind? Absolutely not. He\u2019s also not ahead. He needs about two weeks, give or take, to be able to dial that down. He needs to bring it down a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Looking ahead, he believes this is the point in which prep becomes more challenging for Dauda because peaking a 300-pound body is no easy feat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cThis is where it gets a little difficult, I think, for him. Landing that plane into that runway real smooth for the Olympia\u2026 he said in the past he thought he had to be 300 or over to have enough size to bring his version of 100 percent onstage. I\u2019m not so sure that\u2019s going to happen, nor should it happen,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tvlVQJlvnFA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a> Bob Cicherillo.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>All year long, Dauda\u2019s heard the bodybuilding community ask for more conditioning. He intends to follow through when he makes his way to Vegas. The Men\u2019s Open star argued that with <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/samson-dauda-create-ultimate-look-2026-mr-olympia\/\">enough fullness and crazy conditioning<\/a>, he can win back the Olympia crown.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After knocking out a test run, Dauda gained valuable data to use for his Olympia prep.
