\n Pump Fitness Studios is currently being fitted out at Ellough Industrial Estate, near Beccles, and is aiming to open its doors at the end of October.\n<\/p>\n
\n The business has been launched by fitness professionals Rebekah Aitken and her partner Michael Smith, who have more than 20 years of combined experience in coaching and fitness.\n<\/p>\n
\n \n The pair say the studio will specialise in small group personal training, combining the individual attention of one-to-one coaching with the motivation and community of training alongside others.\n<\/p>\n \n Ms Aitken said: “We both felt there was a real gap locally for the type of training environment we’re creating.\n<\/p>\n \n \n “Beccles is our local community, so it was important for us to bring something like this to an area we already know and feel a part of.”\n<\/p>\n \n She has spent the last six years building the Pump Fitness brand as a freelance personal trainer, working with clients across the area.\n<\/p>\n \n Ms Aitken’s background is strength-based, and she has competed in powerlifting at the national level.\n<\/p>\n \n \n Mr Smith’s experience spans functional fitness, running, boxing, and bodybuilding, with coaching experience ranging from strength and conditioning to physique development and performance.\n<\/p>\n \n The couple met through their shared passion for fitness and said the venture gives them the opportunity to combine their knowledge and experience in one location.\n<\/p>\n \n Members will be coached throughout sessions, with programmes designed to suit different goals, abilities, and levels of experience.\n<\/p>\n \n \n Ms Aitken said: “We don’t want to be the type of gym where you walk in, put your headphones on, train alone and leave.\n<\/p>\n \n “We want our members to know their coaches and the people they’re training alongside, encourage one another and hopefully build friendships outside of the gym too.”\n<\/p>\n \n Work is continuing on the studio ahead of its planned opening later this autumn.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe studio will specialise in small-group personal training (Image: Pump Fitness Studios)<\/em><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
