(Photo Credit: File Photo)\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>&#13;\n\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\"><span class=\"penci-dropcap-box-outline\">P<\/span>resident of the Barbados Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Dr Alfred Sparman, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team at last weekend\u2019s Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championships in Guatemala.<\/span><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">His assessment after the nine-member team returned to the island on Monday with a 12-medal haul from the championships \u2014 eight gold, two silver and two bronze<\/span><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">Dr Sparman said the team competed exceptionally well against some of the region\u2019s best, despite fielding a relatively small contingent.<\/span><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">\u201cWe had outstanding results,\u201d Dr Sparman said adding, \u201cOur gold medal winners included Chad Peterkin in the Junior Men\u2019s Physique, Julian Belgrave in Masters Men\u2019s Physique, Trudi-Anne Bovell in Masters Bikini Fitness, Jacoba Vlugman in Bikini Fitness over 166 centimeters, Shakira Weithers in Masters Wellness and Tracy Sealy in Women\u2019s Physique.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_473039\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter amp-wp-inline-4e8e1e962f1c797e7b74b68ccef77cbc\"><amp-img class=\" wp-image-473039 amp-wp-enforced-sizes\" src=\"https:\/\/barbadostoday.bb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Chad-Peterkin.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"485\" sizes=\"(min-width: 348px) 348px, 100vw\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-473039\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chad Peterkin. This is a tremendous achievement,\u201d said Dr Sparman, who also\u00a0 congratulated the other medal winners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"amp-wp-inline-f62a86b1328cd4134bec55ddf6de989a\">\u201cAs president of the federation, I want to congratulate every member of Team Barbados. You represented our country with pride, discipline, and determination. This proves that even a small Barbados team can stand tall on the international stage.
