On August 29,<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/phil-heath\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"phil-heath\">Phil Heath<\/a> explained how <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/nick-walker\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"nick-walker\">Nick Walker<\/a> can win the 2026 Mr. Olympia.<\/strong> Additionally, he opened up about the Men\u2019s Open lineup and what could prevent <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/samson-dauda\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"samson-dauda\">Samson Dauda<\/a> from reclaiming gold.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">2025 Mr. Olympia<\/a> saw Samson Dauda and Nick Walker struggle. Ultimately, \u201cThe Nigerian Lion\u201d lost his title to <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/derek-lunsford\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"derek-lunsford\">Derek Lunsford<\/a> and fell to fourth place. Meanwhile, Walker <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-coach-6th-place-finish-at-2025-mr-olympia\/\">mistimed his peak<\/a> and claimed sixth place, the lowest Olympia finish of his career.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Each contender took different paths back to title contention. For Dauda, a lengthy off-season was in order, so he could regain the size he lost in pursuit of drier conditioning. Walker carried on and jumped into the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2026-arnold-classic-results-all-divisions\/\">2026 Arnold Classic<\/a>. While he didn\u2019t win the show, he came close and pushed <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/andrew-jacked-profile\/\">Andrew Jacked<\/a> en route to silver.<\/p>\n<p>The New Jersey native recently qualified for Olympia after dominating the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2026-tampa-pro-results\/\">2026 Tampa Pro<\/a>. Subscribe for free!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"phil-heath-says-nick-walker-can-win-2026-mr-olympia-reveals-daudas-ultimate-nemesis\">Phil Heath Says Nick Walker Can Win 2026 Mr. Olympia, Reveals Dauda\u2019s Ultimate \u2018Nemesis\u2019\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>In the video, Heath explained that Walker has the tools to win the sport\u2019s greatest title but warned that he\u2019s up against a strong lineup:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cLook, he took Derek to the brink of a so-called sudden-death posedown in Pittsburgh last year. I think Nick has what it takes, but Derek is on fire, Andrew is on fire, Samson is on fire. Let\u2019s just hope and pray that these guys stay healthy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cI told him, you did well at Tampa, and I asked him a question: can you get better than that? He said yes. I said great. Now, you got to do that for two days. You do that for two days, and you\u2019re in the hunt.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also acknowledged Lunsford\u2019s chance to become a three-time Mr. Olympia champion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDerek has a great opportunity, obviously, because he hasn\u2019t won two in a row. I think him having this opportunity, and if he wins two in a row, it\u2019s only going to boost his confidence even more. At the end of the day, you\u2019re going to be confident if you know you have these guys\u2019 numbers Friday and Saturday night.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As for Dauda, \u201cThe Gift\u201d emphasized that we\u2019ve yet to see him at his all-time best.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ve seen Samson\u2019s best, based on what we saw in 2024. Samson has to be better than 2024 because last year, he didn\u2019t come in the way that he should. Andrew Jacked, he still has some areas in his physique I think he needs to improve, but he still has enough to go beat these guys.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cNone of these guys are going to be peaked for two days, no one,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jK2WdCBAyJM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cWe got to make sure that we see people on Friday be able to hold for Saturday.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Heath pointed out that Dauda\u2019s Achilles\u2019 heel is hard, shredded conditioning. I do feel like Samson\u2019s nemesis has always been nailing the hard, shredded conditioning. If he can do that at the size that we are seeing, it\u2019s going to be extremely difficult for anyone to step up to that. You\u2019re not going to outpose him, but he\u2019s been outconditioned. But if he could put it all together, we will see something very unique.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite struggling last season, some bodybuilding veterans like Walker\u2019s chances looking ahead. Former four-time Mr. Olympia <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/jay-cutler\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"jay-cutler\">Jay Cutler<\/a> argued that <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/jay-cutler-believes-nick-walker-win-2026-mr-olympia\/\">Walker could win the contest<\/a>. Judge Terrick El Guindy has also stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/terrick-el-guindy-says-nick-walker-can-win-2026-mr-olympia\/\">if Walker is \u2018on\u2019, he can win<\/a> the prestigious event.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cash prizes, bragging rights, and trophies are on the line in under one month.
