On August 26, <strong>bodybuilder <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/hadi-choopan\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"hadi-choopan\">Hadi Choopan<\/a> confirmed his withdrawal from the prestigious contest due to visa issues.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cWITH A HEAVY HEART, I HAVE DECIDED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE 2026 MR. OLYMPIA. After competing in the last seven Mr. Olympias, it is extremely difficult for me to announce that I will not compete at this year\u2019s 2026 Mr. Olympia.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"hadi-choopan-out-of-2026-mr-olympia-due-to-visa-issues\">Hadi Choopan Out of 2026 Mr. Olympia Due to Visa Issues\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>In the statement, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2022-olympia-results\/\">2022 Olympia winner<\/a> Choopan revealed that his 10-year United Arab Emirates (UAE) Golden Visa was deactivated. He was told that he\u2019d be unable to enter the UAE due to the \u2018political situation and restrictions.\u2019 As a result, he\u2019s ended his preparations for the Olympia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOn Wednesday afternoon, I went to the airport in Shiraz to take my flight directly to Dubai. I was not allowed to board. I was informed that my 10-year UAE Golden Visa had been deactivated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI immediately decided to fly to Tehran and try again from there. Unfortunately, I was given the same information. I was told that because of the current political situation and restrictions, I would not be allowed to enter the UAE.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Given the time constraints, he sees no realistic path back to the Mr. Olympia contest this season:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cAt this point, I do not see a realistic way to complete the visa process in time, and I do not want to prepare for the Olympia under this level of stress and uncertainty. For me, Mr. Olympia is not a competition where I simply want to show up. Among those who could benefit most is <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/nick-walker\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"nick-walker\">Nick Walker<\/a>. Choopan and Walker are known for freaky conditioning levels that are hard to match. With one less contender to deal with, \u201cThe Mutant\u201d could easily improve on his <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">sixth-place performance<\/a> from last season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Choopan\u2019s physique also matches up well with Walker\u2019s and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/derek-lunsford\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"derek-lunsford\">Derek Lunsford<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/lee-haney-2025-mr-olympia-call-for-two-classes-in-open\/\">shorter builds<\/a>. Now, there are greater concerns about whether taller athletes like <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/samson-dauda\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"samson-dauda\">Samson Dauda<\/a> and Andrew Jacked can overpower the stockier contenders and take over the podium.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/martin-fitzwater\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"martin-fitzwater\">Martin Fitzwater<\/a> is another big name who could capitalize on Choopan\u2019s withdrawal. Additionally, other athletes, including Behrooz Tabani, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/michal-krizanek\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"michal-krizanek\">Michal Krizanek<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/bodybuilding\/athletes\/tonio-burton\/\" class=\"bb-athlete-link\" data-athlete-slug=\"tonio-burton\">Tonio Burton<\/a>, could use the opportunity to jump up the ladder.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, Choopan has made it clear this isn\u2019t the end of his bodybuilding journey.
