Back on 8 August, a bloke took to the stage at a bodybuilding competition but looked, well, pretty out of place.<\/p>\n

Not only was his physique different to the usual bodybuilder \u2018type\u2019, but his routine to get there was vastly different too.<\/p>\n

Before making his debut at Men\u2019s Classic Physique Open Class B at the 2026 NPC East Coast Mecca Classic in New York<\/a>, Peter Mossfield opted to not work out.<\/p>\n

The bloke, who runs BoozeBagFitness<\/a> on Instagram, opted to have as many as 24 drinks<\/a> a day, and \u2018blast gear\u2019 \u2013 ie, taking steroids.<\/p>\n

Mossfield<\/a> started off with beers but switched to vodka and diet soda in a bid to cut calories. It might be unsurprising that he ended up coming last in the competition \u2013 and that probably wasn\u2019t helped by him being late.<\/p>\n

After the prejudging, Mossfield left the venue to drink during the break before finals. Except he told his Instagram followers he \u2018kinda lost track of time\u2019 and missed the finals and individual posing portion.<\/p>\n

In a recent video, he explained that the other bodybuilders were \u2018all cool, supportive\u2019 as he made it a bit of an experiment for himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably because they were jacked and not insecure about their body so they weren’t upset about me being there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mossfield also laid out that it was an \u2018open bodybuilding show\u2019, meaning he\u2019d paid a fee to enter, rather than crashing a pro show.<\/p>\n

His unusual bodybuilding experiment came as a result of him seeing how muscle he could build using anabolic steroids without actually lifting any weights.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my mind, it was me or one other guy had the best package out there,\u201d he said after the show.<\/p>\n

And he also seems to have suggested that failing to shave his long head of hair might have impacted his placing.<\/p>\n

In an AMA on his Instagram, LADbible asked Mossfield what the impacts of his unique regime were on his health and he said: \u201cSleep was horrible, digestion has been bad, but the energy (while enhanced) has been great.<\/p>\n

\u201cSleep issues definitely most significant health impact as well as stomach pains.\u201d<\/p>\n

And, he said that if he was do this all over again, then: \u201cI\u2019d like to do it while training something really isolated ie training arms every single day or training one lift, maybe at a time with less booze involved. No interest in perfectly optimising a bodybuilding prep.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the competition, Mossfield stopped taking steroids and reportedly plans to start lifting weights without them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a born again natural,\u201d he joked, as he\u2019s \u2018excited to start lifting as a natty\u2019.<\/p>\n

Now, he\u2019s apparently hoping to see if he can \u2018sustain the gains I made from blasting gear and not lifting\u2019.<\/p>\n

He said in the comments that his focus right now is \u2018athleticism for MMA and throwing 90mph\u2019 as he will be completing strength training.<\/p>\n
