\n Broome regularly films and photographs her journey to give fans an insight into her life training and competing on the biggest stages. The self-confessed nerd admits it is an aspect she usually enjoys and hopes it can generate more exposure as she prepares for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Chorley lifter won silver at Birmingham 2022 and is now preparing a bid to take the final step to the top of the podium.\n<\/p>\n
\n<\/blockquote>\n\n \u201cThe cameras come with me wherever I go,\u201d she said. \u201cI got into the content side when I was at uni. I wanted to show what life was like as a full-time student and a full-time athlete.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt originally started as a photography thing. Getting to go to some amazing countries, I wanted to show what it looked like behind the scenes. It has grown from there.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI never used to show off certain opportunities that we were given, that was another thing that I wanted to be able to show what the rest of this world is, it\u2019s not just training and competitions.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cNow, social media and content creation is a big part of being an athlete. Especially in the age of TikTok and Instagram. That seems to be the best way that sports get the exposure that they need.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Broome will likely have plenty to show when she is part of Team England in Glasgow if she can reach the same heights she did in Birmingham. Broome finished behind compatriot Zoe Newson for an English one-two in the women\u2019s lightweight class and now wants to win the gold for herself.\n<\/p>\n
\n She brings plenty of experience, having added a second Paralympic bronze medal collection in Paris to the one she won in Tokyo and knows she becomes stronger after every major event.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cGoing into these Games, I am a lot more prepared than I was going into Birmingham,\u201d she said. “You always want to try and do better or defend. Now I definitely want to go for that gold.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cA lot has changed. I am a very different athlete to back then. The way that I work now is very different and I have a different mindset going into these Games than I did four years ago.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI am a lot more driven than I used to be. When I was younger, I was a lot more \u2018what will be, will be\u2019 rather than being present in the sessions, I just showed up. Now, I look to progress what I am doing in sessions. I am fully focussed and fully present.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cGoing into Games, you start to learn what to expect. You learn how you work and how you can cope better. You start to learn different processes within yourself, what you need on comp day and how you focus. What will make you a better athlete.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n However, there is no danger of Broome getting ahead of herself when it comes to dreaming of the podium.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI am really funny when it comes to talking about getting medals,\u201d she added. \u201cI never say I am guaranteed a medal, you never know what happens.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt is in the back of my mind and motivates me. If it is the case that I step on that podium and hear that anthem, I think it will probably be one of the greatest days.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
