A bodybuilder collapsed and died hours after sharing snaps of his workout ahead of his next major competition.<\/p>\n

Mailson Ara\u00fajo, 35, fell ill at home in Alagoinhas, Brazil, late Monday, days before this weekend\u2019s Musclecontest \u2013 an event some athletes use as a stepping stone for the prestigious Mr Olympia event later in the year, Globo reported.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The muscleman couldn\u2019t be saved after collapsing \u2013 despite the best efforts of his mom, who is a nurse, as well as first responders who rushed to the scene.<\/p>\n
