According to ThaiRath, a village employee recorded video after Murphy began acting erratically for unknown reasons. Security personnel said he returned by hired vehicle, offered the driver 1,000 baht, tried to approach another resident\u2019s car, shouted loudly, rolled on the road, and made praying gestures before police arrived.<\/p>\n
When officers reached the area, Murphy ran into the village and entered the lake. Witnesses said he swam until he became exhausted and disappeared in water described as more than 10 meters deep. Rescue divers searched for about 30 minutes before recovering him.<\/p>\n
A 22-year-old woman identified by ThaiRath as Murphy\u2019s girlfriend said they had been together for roughly three years, had lived separately because of lifestyle differences, and had reunited less than three months before the incident. She told the outlet she had not seen him use drugs during their time together and did not know what caused the sudden behavior.<\/p>\n
The homeowner said she was shocked by the condition of the house, which had reportedly been covered with paint inside, including furniture and appliances. Investigators said they found two unused syringes in Murphy\u2019s car and unidentified white pills in a waist bag. Those findings do not establish a cause of death; authorities said further examination and testing were pending.<\/p>\n
Tony Huge Reflects on Murphy\u2019s Final Days in Thailand<\/h2>\n
Bodybuilder and biohacking figure Tony Huge, who said he was Murphy\u2019s friend and had recently filmed content with him in Thailand, posted a video tribute after the news began circulating on July 7.<\/p>\n
Huge said Murphy had been living on a golf course in Bangkok at a house that backed directly onto water. In his account of the incident, Huge said Murphy \u201che drowned in his backyard lake,\u201d while also acknowledging that more details led up to the drowning.<\/p>\n
Huge said he was in Pattaya, about two hours away, when he learned what happened. He said he had last seen Murphy roughly 10 or 11 days earlier, had spoken with him shortly before his death, and believed Murphy was excited about projects they had recently finished. Huge added, \u201cHe certainly wasn\u2019t depressed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Huge also described Murphy as being focused on two major goals near the end of his life: raising people\u2019s consciousness through his content and pursuing golf seriously. He said Murphy had been working on golf skills, a new swing, and content with younger Bangkok-based aesthetic influencers who saw him as an inspiration.<\/p>\n
The most unusual part of Huge\u2019s video centered on Murphy\u2019s alleged biohacking experiments. Huge said Murphy had been experimenting with gold injections and that friends were concerned. That remains Huge\u2019s account only. Thai authorities have not said gold, supplements, or any specific substance caused Murphy\u2019s behavior or death.<\/p>\n
