{"id":23756,"date":"2026-07-02T15:22:52","date_gmt":"2026-07-02T15:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=23756"},"modified":"2026-07-02T15:22:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-02T15:22:52","slug":"sri-lanka-bodybuilders-win-six-golds-at-mr-universe-championships-sri-lanka-news-ada-derana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=23756","title":{"rendered":"Sri Lanka bodybuilders win six golds at Mr. Universe Championships | Sri Lanka News | Ada Derana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Sri Lanka&#8217;s bodybuilding team returned to the island after delivering a strong performance at the second Mr. Universe Bodybuilding World Championships in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The national contingent won a total of 14 medals\u2014including six gold, three silver and three bronze\u2014while also securing two Pro Cards, which qualify athletes to compete in professional bodybuilding competitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The championships were held on June 27 and 28 in Pattaya, Thailand, with 327 athletes from 47 countries competing in the event organized by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Sri Lankan bodybuilders Anoj Aloysius and W.R.
