Between sold-out shows, endless travel days, media appearances, and late-night bus rides, the singer has developed a wellness routine that combines strength training, Pilates-inspired workouts, recovery-focused habits, and a faith-centered mindset.<\/p>\n<p>The result isn\u2019t just a physique she\u2019s proud of, but a sustainable lifestyle that allows her to perform at a high level while navigating the chaos of modern touring.<\/p>\n<h2>An Athlete Before She Was an Artist<\/h2>\n<p>Long before she stepped onto a stage, Cooke was already building the foundation that would eventually support her career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve kind of always been a really active person,\u201d she says. \u201cBefore music was ever a thing, I was super into sports.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Growing up in South Florida, she played volleyball, ran track, and spent much of her free time outdoors. With a father who loved sports and encouraged backyard competition, Cooke embraced an athletic lifestyle early.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dad was a football player growing up,\u201d she says, \u201cso he\u2019d get home from work and want to toss the ball around in the backyard. I was always a sporty tomboy kid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That active upbringing eventually evolved into weight training during high school. As she learned how to lift and build strength, she began seeing changes not only in her performance but in her physique.<\/p>\n<p>Those lessons would prove invaluable once touring became her full-time job.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption \">\n<div style=\"padding-bottom:55.36519386835%;\" class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"credit\">Ashley Cooke<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Why Solidcore Changed Everything<\/h2>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muscleandfitness.com\/workouts\/full-body-exercises\/10-best-old-school-exercises\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">traditional weightlifting<\/a> remains a major part of her routine, Cooke says she found her fitness sweet spot when she discovered reformer-based Pilates and <a href=\"https:\/\/solidcore.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Solidcore training<\/a>. The appeal wasn\u2019t just the workout itself, it was the feeling afterward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was always chasing that soreness feeling after wakeboarding,\u201d Cooke explains. \u201cYou know that first day back on the water after winter, when your whole back and body are sore the next day? There\u2019s nothing quite like it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then she tried Solidcore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got that same soreness in a completely different way than I got from lifting weights,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Today, her approach combines both disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve kind of combined weightlifting and Solidcore, and it\u2019s gotten me my favorite physique yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, she feels 100% better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a time when I was trying to lift super heavy and drink all the protein and do all the things,\u201d Cooke recalls. \u201cIt just wasn\u2019t necessarily the right fit for my body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Cooke found success blending resistance training with Pilates, mobility work, yoga, and mindfulness practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019s a perfect combo where weightlifting meets yoga, Pilates, and mindfulness. For me personally, that\u2019s what creates that leaner, muscular build that I love.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Staying Fit on Tour Isn\u2019t Easy<\/h2>\n<p>Ask any touring artist about maintaining healthy habits on the road, and you\u2019ll likely hear the same answer: consistency is difficult.<\/p>\n<p>Cooke knows that challenge firsthand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you roll off a bus, you don\u2019t know where the hell you are,\u201d she laughs. \u201cThen you have to figure out where the nearest gym is, buy a day pass, and hope it has the equipment you need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One experience, however, showed her what life could look like with the right support system. While opening for Luke Bryan, Cooke had access to the superstar\u2019s traveling trainer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day we\u2019d wake up and work out together. We\u2019d do team lifts in the parking lot of the venue. It was a game changer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a model she\u2019d love to recreate someday as her own tours continue to grow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dream would be to eventually bring a trainer on the road and let my openers use them too, just like Luke did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Until then, preparation remains her secret weapon. Before arriving in a city, she\u2019ll research local studios and fitness options, often booking classes ahead of time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there\u2019s a Solidcore, Pilates class, or CycleBar nearby, I try to plan it out before I even get there.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Fueling Performance With Simplicity<\/h2>\n<p>Nutrition becomes another challenge when your office changes cities every night. For Cooke, meal prep has become the answer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m big into meal prep,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Back home in Nashville, she relies on prepared meals that make tracking her nutrition easier and eliminate the guesswork that often comes with travel.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, she\u2019s also gotten back into tracking her intake through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myfitnesspal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyFitnessPal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of obsessing over every ingredient, she focuses on consistency and having dependable options available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re on the road, it\u2019s nice knowing exactly what you\u2019re getting.\u201d That strategy extends to restaurant chains as well. \u201cI have my standard orders. I know exactly what I\u2019m getting at Chipotle. And She\u2019s Surprisingly Serious About It<\/h2>\n<p>Like many touring musicians, Cooke once relied heavily on coffee to survive early flights and long travel days. Lately, though, she\u2019s made a switch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m kind of off the coffee train right now,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019ve been more on the matcha train lately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And don\u2019t expect a sugary coffee-shop concoction.<\/p>\n<p>Cooke\u2019s order is surprisingly simple: ceremonial-grade matcha, extra ice, almond milk, and absolutely no sweetener.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like no sweetener at all,\u201d she says with a laugh. \u201cI very much like grass and milk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The minimalist approach extends to her refrigerator at home, which she admits might surprise fans. While she describes herself as naturally disorganized, one thing is meticulously maintained: the beverage shelf.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole top row is just beverages,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s all color coordinated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lineup includes water, seltzers, matcha essentials, and plenty of products from her favorite clean coffee company, Seek. For someone whose schedule is anything but predictable, those small rituals have become grounding habits amid the constant movement of touring life.<\/p>\n<h2>Strong, Not Small<\/h2>\n<p>Perhaps the most refreshing part of Cooke\u2019s wellness philosophy is her perspective on body image. Instead of chasing unrealistic standards, she\u2019s focused on strength, performance, and longevity.<\/p>\n<p>She points to actresses and fitness advocates who embrace strength rather than thinness as inspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019s something really powerful about being strong,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>For an artist who spends countless nights under bright lights and in front of thousands of people, maintaining that mindset isn\u2019t always easy.
