Jon Gruden<\/strong>\u2018s son eldest son, Jon David Gruden II aka \u2018Deuce Gruden<\/strong>,\u2019 just set a new record at the Powerlifting America Bench Press Nationals <\/strong>in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend. The former NFL head coach was ecstatic with his son\u2019s achievement and shared a clip of the feat on X.<\/p>\n

Despite being just the second week of the year, the Powerlifting<\/strong> America Bench Press Nationals marked the first major weight lifting competition of the year in America.<\/p>\n

Deuce Gruden Sets Powerlifting America Bench Press Record<\/h2>\n

Powerlifting is nothing new for Deuce Gruden. He won a powerlifting world championship<\/a> at 23-years-old in the 183-pound weight class at the IPF World Classic Powerlifting<\/a> Championships in Belarus back in 2017. Flash forward a few years and he\u2019s still doing incredible things in the gym.<\/p>\n

Oh, did I mention that Deuce Gruden is also a Strength and Conditioning Assistant<\/a> with the Las Vegas Raiders? So he was able to set this new record, while maintaining a full-time job of training professional NFL athletes. If that doesn\u2019t impress you\u2026<\/p>\n

Here is Deuce Gruden setting the new bench press record at the Powerlifting America Bench Press Nationals<\/a> for his weight class at 484 pounds (219.5 KG)!<\/p>\n

Duece has been a strength and conditioning assistant in the NFL for 10 years now. He is credited with helping to train two NFL Pro Bowlers in 2024, DE Maxx Crosby and rookie TE Brock Bowers.<\/p>\n

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach who won the franchise its first Super Bowl was ecstatic with his son after the feat:<\/p>\n
