If you would like to follow this heavy back day, here are the exercises that Sulek selected. Just be sure to figure out your own form by going light first, then finding a working weight that suits your individual strength level.<\/p>\n<h2>Sam Sulek\u2019s Complete Back Workout Routine<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mid-Back Row<\/strong> \u2014 3 Sets to failure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inclined T-Bar Row<\/strong> \u2014 2 Sets to failure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seated Cable Row<\/strong>\u2014 1 Set to failure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seated Machine Pullovers<\/strong> \u2014 3 Sets to failure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seated Cable Lat Pulldowns<\/strong> \u2014 3 Sets to failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"M0q5cma3e1E\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Bulk Awakens Day 8 - Strength Inbound \" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M0q5cma3e1E?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<h2>How to Build a Classic Physique Back Like Sam Sulek<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cWe all know, you\u2019re working your lats in a row,\u201d explained Sulek of the mid-back row. So, to make sure that this row was not hyper focused on the lats, the bodybuilder raised his elbows, and rowed upwards to bias his shoulders. Sulek said he wanted to feel like his rear delts could \u201cbump each other\u201d at the top of this exercise. \u201cThey\u2019re not going to be able to, but that\u2019s what I\u2019m kind of trying to imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Sulek aims for failure, he is also looking to execute complete reps. To that end, he\u2019s not afraid to drop the weight down in subsequent sets, allowing him to maintain a full range of motion during exercises such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muscleandfitness.com\/exercise\/workouts\/back-exercises\/t-bar-row\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">T-bar row<\/a>, hitting the lats, rear deltoids, traps, and rhomboids, thus making this move excellent for the upper back.<\/p>\n<p>Sulek remained stationery for his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muscleandfitness.com\/workouts\/workout-tips\/seated-cable-rope-row-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bench assisted cable rows<\/a>, taxing the biceps, lats, and shoulders in order to build his upper-back. He then headed over to the seated pullover machine, where the big man shared that his basic criterion for any exercise is for the weight to be heavy enough that he \u201cfeels it\u201d, and yet light enough that he can still \u201csqueeze it\u201d. Of course, pullovers punish multiple muscle groups, including the lats, rhomboids, deltoids, triceps, and even the pecs in order to move the load. <em>Tip: Don\u2019t lock out your arms at the top of the movement.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For his final exercise, Sulek chose seated cable lat pulldowns, picking up the narrow grip bar attachment to reduce wrist strain while maximizing back engagement in his first two sets.
