The 4x Olympia champion has shared his secrets in the gym so others can build the best version of themselves. On Wednesday, Cutler shared his secret to building massive arms in the gym.<\/p>\n<p>Cutler was a bodybuilding icon as a 4x\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/generationiron.com\/mr-olympia-winners\/\"><strong>Mr. Olympia<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0spanning from 2006-2010 and a 6x runner-up. At 5\u20199\u201d tall, he\u2019s still considered one of the best bodybuilders and managed an epic rivalry with 8x Mr. Olympia\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/generationiron.com\/ronnie-coleman-profile-stats\/\">Ronnie Coleman<\/a><\/strong>. Still, he\u2019s managed to stay in fantastic shape well after retirement.<\/p>\n<p>When discussing arms, Cutler made sure to mention that they are not a \u201ctwo or three or four-rep movement.\u201d Cutler\u2019s secret is to focus on high reps and even burnouts when necessary.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cYou want to focus on 8, 10, 12, 15, sometimes 20, sometimes burnout sets. He used many different workouts but shared his favorite in the gym. targeted rope\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/generationiron.com\/hammer-curl-exercise-guide\/\">hammer curls<\/a>\u00a0as the exercise to build explosive arms. He began by explaining this is a movement to build the brachialis, which is targeted in hammer curls and this is just a different variation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis is gonna be a hammer curl using a rope. Ideally what we\u2019re going to do is spread the rope at the top and get that contraction. Really getting that squeeze, really work that thickness of the forearm and that bicep.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>This is a movement that Cutler still throws into his workouts every few weeks. It helps work the brachialis, which is the tie between the bicep and forearm. This allows to show a dense forearm from the side.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHitting these curls with the cables as opposed to free weights is gonna help with keeping the tension throughout the full range of motion, and make it more difficult to let momentum do any of the work!
