In a recent YouTube video shared on Oct. 23, <strong>he recapped the 2025 Mr. Olympia results and discussed comparisons to Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">2025 Mr. Olympia<\/a> was one for the history books. Although <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/samson-dauda-profile\/\">Samson Dauda<\/a> entered the event as the reigning champion, he fell short in a shocking drop to fourth place. Instead, the finals were determined after a showdown between Lunsford and Choopan, much like the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2023-mr-olympia-results\/\">2023 Olympia<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Lunsford\u2019s improved leg width and overall size led him to victory. The outcome has been debated since Olympia Weekend, with some, including <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/lee-priest-fan-hate-derek-lunsford-2025-mr-olympia\/\">Lee Priest<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/shawn-ray-says-nick-walker-at-8th-place-2025-olympia\/\">Shawn Ray<\/a>, suggesting that the title should have gone to Choopan or third-place finisher Andrew Jacked. You know what? The majority of the people agree. It\u2019s unfortunate, right? Competition should get better, not worse. I think it\u2019s pretty much agreed on that the 90s were the heydays of bodybuilding.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some commenters thought Wheeler was \u2018living in the past,\u2019 whereas he argued that he just gave his opinion on the comparison.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s just a few people, it wasn\u2019t a lot. A few people, one person posted why are you so upset and selfish that you think that your era was better and stop living in the past but it\u2019s interesting that a fan of mine did that, and then posted it. It\u2019s no different, I\u2019ve seen a few posts where they took the Ms. Olympia and did a double biceps against Derek.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Looking at his physique alongside Lunsford\u2019s, Wheeler emphasized that his era was in better shape and that conditioning mattered more during that time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote align-center\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just different now. A lot of people say oh it\u2019s the lighting and stuff like that, no. We were just in better condition back then.<\/p>\n<p>We came from an era where condition mattered. We had people that were smaller and they won, simply because of their condition and their physique.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Noting that athletes aren\u2019t as peeled as they once were, Wheeler doesn\u2019t understand why the sport hasn\u2019t progressed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote align-center\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate and it\u2019s not my fault. Yeah, I do agree when I look at the current Mr. Olympia and the last few Mr. Olympias, we were just in better shape, we were more peeled. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s that we had less distractions or whatnot, but I don\u2019t understand why the sport hasn\u2019t progressed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also touched on Choopan fans, who vehemently defend the former champion online.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cThey are fanatics man. In that post, they [fans] kept bringing up Hadi, do a picture with Hadi. I was like, I didn\u2019t start it, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019d be too big of a difference between me and Hadi doing that pose. They are absolute fanatics, and if you say anything negative about Hadi, you\u2019re going to get ruined on the internet,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-uIArWmI5uY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The 2025 Mr. Olympia results have been debated since Lunsford got his hand raised. To shed light on the outcome, IFBB Pro League Vice President Tyler Manion <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/tyler-manion-2025-mr-olympia-recap\/\">broke down how he reclaimed the title<\/a> against Choopan. He explained that Lunsford won the posing battle five to three, which led to his triumph.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wheeler doesn\u2019t have an issue with how the Mr. Olympia played out.
