Instagram<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The bodybuilding great shared an Instagram post where he laid out four components to building more impressive biceps using curls:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slow, Controlled Reps<\/li>\n<li>Elbows Locked In<\/li>\n<li>Full Stretch &amp; Hard Squeeze<\/li>\n<li>Mind-Muscle Connection over Ego Weight<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>Frank Zane knows how to build championship-level arms and he did it using four very simple tips. First, avoid any unnecessary movement when performing a curl.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIf your shoulders and momentum are doing the work, you biceps aren\u2019t. Isolation is the key to real arm growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Make sure to squeeze hard at the top and avoid loading on too much weight to where your technique is off. Zane also stresses the importance of isolation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWhen you isolate the biceps, you force them to do the job \u2014 and that\u2019s when size, shape, and definition show up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-is-frank-zane\">Who Is Frank Zane?<\/h3>\n<p>Frank Zane graduated from Wilkes University in 1964. He earned his nickname \u201cThe Chemist\u201d for his college degree and his use of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/generationiron.com\/best-bcaa-supplements\/\">amino acids<\/a>\u00a0and other\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/generationiron.com\/best-bodybuilding-supplements\/\">bodybuilding supplements<\/a>, which was highly unusual for the time. Zane made his pro debut in 1961 at the Mr. Pennsylvania contest and went on to win the Olympia title three times, from 1977 to 1979. He also won IFBB Mr. Universe in 1965 and is a two-time winner of the IFBB Mr. America title. He was inducted into the Joe Weider Hall of Fame in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Zane has said in the past that he believes he would be in Classic Physique if he competed today. His overall build and structure would fit better in that division rather than with the mass monsters in Men\u2019s Open. Zane persevered and had a successful career in bodybuilding spanning two decades.
