In a recent YouTube video on Oct. 27,<strong> he argued that Derek Lunsford was in guest posing shape and thought his front lat spread made him look like a \u2018waterlogged beached whale.\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">2025 Mr. Olympia<\/a> delivered huge upsets and historic triumphs. In the headliner, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/derek-lunsford-profile\/\">Derek Lunsford<\/a> reclaimed the Sandow trophy, becoming only the second Open bodybuilder in history to win it back after losing it. He overcame <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/hadi-choopan-profile\/\">Hadi Choopan<\/a> and an all-time best <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/andrew-jacked-profile\/\">Andrew Jacked<\/a> in the finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The results received mixed reactions. For Priest, he thought the<a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/lee-priest-fan-hate-derek-lunsford-2025-mr-olympia\/\"> nod should have gone to either Choopan or Jacked<\/a>. He wasn\u2019t the only bodybuilding veteran to suggest as much; Shawn Ray also stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/shawn-ray-says-nick-walker-at-8th-place-2025-olympia\/\">\u2018The Persian Wolf\u2019 did enough to earn the victory<\/a>. Eh, he\u2019s a bodybuilder,\u201d Priest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZQp6VyLMPyk&amp;t=326s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the front lat spread, he said the two-time Mr. Olympia looked like a \u2018waterlogged beached whale.\u2019 Conversely, he pointed to Jacked\u2019s muscle striations in the same pose:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote align-center\">\n<p>\u201cHis front lat spread, there\u2019s a video of him and Andrew doing a front lat spread together. Andrew has got all the lines through his chest. He [Lunsford] just looks like a waterlogged beached whale doing a fucking lat spread.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He thought Lunsford looked in guest posing shape at Mr. Olympia. He advised the champ to focus less on prayer and more on training for conditioning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cGuest posing shape,\u201d said Priest. \u201cCome on, it\u2019s Mr. Olympia, you\u2019re meant to be the best of the best. You\u2019re meant to be at your best at the Mr. Olympia. Get it right on the day, you\u2019re a professional. Maybe if you put more time into training and dieting than you do praying.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cWhat\u2019s going to work better? Sit there, praying for getting in condition or getting on the treadmill and getting on the stepper, and dieting. What\u2019s going to work?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The last time Lunsford won the Mr. Olympia, he took the entire season off to focus on his title defense. However, he might not follow that same route again. Judge Terrick El Guindy <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/terrick-el-guindy-talks-derek-lunsford-2026-arnold-classic\/\">confirmed that Lunsford will compete at the 2026 Arnold Classic<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The stakes are sky-high, with the winner poised to walk away with a<a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2026-arnold-classic-increases-mens-open-prize\/\"> $750,000 prize purse<\/a>.
