{"id":18105,"date":"2026-04-13T07:43:39","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T07:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=18105"},"modified":"2026-04-13T07:43:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T07:43:39","slug":"bodybuilder-ali-bayat-urges-financial-support-to-compete-internationally-pajhwok-afghan-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=18105","title":{"rendered":"Bodybuilder Ali Bayat urges financial support to compete internationally \u2013 Pajhwok Afghan News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Ali Bayat, a member of the national bodybuilding team who has qualified for the 2026 South Asian Games, says that due to financial constraints he has previously been unable to participate in several international competitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bayat urged the government and business community to support him so he can compete in upcoming events and bring pride to the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ali Bayat, a resident of Ghazni province and a member of the national bodybuilding squad, told Pajhwok Afghan News that over the past several years he has consistently trained and worked to bring honor to Afghanistan through sport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that he had previously qualified for international competitions on four occasions but was unable to participate due to a lack of financial resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, he has been engaged in intensive training over the past year and is scheduled to compete in the 2026 South Asian Games on 30 June in the Kingdom of Bhutan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He expressed hope that he would be able to raise his country\u2019s flag high and achieve notable success on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bayat also said that during the national team selection trials, 35 athletes from different provinces were assessed in the 95-kilogram weight category, out of which 14 were selected and he is among them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He urged the government, business community and sports organizations to pay serious attention to athletes. In his view, athletes are a national asset and proper support can translate into international medals and sporting honors for the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that bodybuilding is a highly costly discipline and, like many other athletes, he continues to face significant financial challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A friend of Ali Bayat, Naveed Ramazani, also said that Bayat had previously been selected multiple times for international competitions but was unable to participate due to financial constraints and this time he is also attempting to compete through personal means.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They have appealed to relevant institutions and businessmen to extend financial support to him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, Bayat is a role model for them and his achievements have inspired young athletes to pursue their ambitions through sports.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ghazni\u2019s Olympic and Sports Director, Haji Bilal Mujahid, said that Bayat\u2019s selection for the Asian competitions is a significant achievement for Ghazni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He stated that many athletes face financial difficulties and Bayat is among them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that they are striving to support talented athletes and this year has introduced around 45 skilled athletes to national teams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ghazni is among the provinces of Afghanistan where people have a strong passion for sports; out of around 50 federations in the province, 36 are active and thousands of young people are engaged in various sporting disciplines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">sa<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/pajhwok.com\/2026\/04\/13\/bodybuilder-ali-bayat-urges-financial-support-to-compete-internationally\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Ali Bayat, a member of the national bodybuilding team who has qualified for the 2026 South Asian Games, says that due to financial constraints he has previously been unable to participate in several international competitions.
