{"id":16324,"date":"2026-03-25T09:24:55","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T09:24:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=16324"},"modified":"2026-03-25T09:24:55","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T09:24:55","slug":"shakeel-babb-reigns-supreme-at-battle-of-the-rising-stars-2-novice-bodybuilding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=16324","title":{"rendered":"Shakeel Babb reigns supreme at \u2018Battle of the Rising Stars 2\u2019 Novice Bodybuilding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Shakeel Babb of Razor Athletics emerged the overall winner of the \u2018Battle of the Rising Stars 2\u2019 Novice Bodybuilding Championship, staged on Sunday evening by the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.<\/p>\n<p>Over 400 persons witnessed the country\u2019s newest entrants to bodybuilding at the Ramada Princess Hotel, East Bank Demerara, as they showcased their ripped and toned bodies on stage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.1293577246248198&amp;type=3\">Click here to view photos of male competitors\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Babb qualified for the overall showdown by winning the Under-143 lbs category.<\/p>\n<p>For the overall title, he was up against gym-mate Jonathan Nedderman, who won the Over-176 lbs class, Under-176 lbs Class winner Enimen Eitokpah and Vijay Rahim, the Under-165 lbs Class winner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.1293436936262229&amp;type=3\">Click here to view photos of female competitors\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to News Room after his crowning moment, Babb credited his trainer and three-time Mr. Guyana champion Darious Ramsammy for his guidance in the lead-up to his maiden performance on stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always been interested in upgrading my physique,\u201d Babb said of his motivation to hit the stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was pushed by Darious and I say let me jump into it.
