{"id":14729,"date":"2026-02-22T09:01:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T09:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=14729"},"modified":"2026-02-22T09:01:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T09:01:00","slug":"powerlifting-federation-to-host-novices-juniors-championship-on-march-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldbodybuildingnews.com\/?p=14729","title":{"rendered":"Powerlifting Federation to host Novices\/Juniors Championship on March 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The new executive of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) will lift off their 2026 season with the hosting of the Novices\/Juniors National Championship set for Sunday March 8, at St. Stanislaus Collage Auditorium, in the capital city.<\/p>\n<p>Young lifters from across the country will compete as they showcase their progress, and join a growing community dedicated to strength, discipline and sportsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>Weigh-in begins at 07:00h sharp and the first lift will commence promptly at 09:00h, the GAPLF said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCompetitors should arrive early with completed registration, valid identification and competition-ready gear,\u201d the GAPLF said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoaches, parents, and supporters are encouraged to attend to cheer emerging talent and witness the next generation of Guyanese powerlifters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This championship, according to the GAPLF, seeks to grow the sport by welcoming and harnessing fresh young talent to the strength sport arena.<\/p>\n<p>Novice and junior divisions will follow standard federation rules and will be officiated by certified Referees to ensure fair, safe, and transparent competition.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be presented for top lifters in each weight class, and special recognition will be given for outstanding technique, sportsmanship, and personal bests.<\/p>\n<p>The GAPLF added: \u201cRegistration details, weight classes, and technical rules are available through the federation\u2019s official channels. For inquiries about entry, coaching accreditation, or volunteer opportunities, contact the federation\u2019s Organising Committee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether you are taking your first competitive steps or returning to test new limits, the 2026 Novices\/Juniors National Championship is the place to begin a powerful journey.
