Khai Wern didn\u2019t expect her video to go viral, as social media isn\u2019t her main hustle. But as we all know, the internet has a mind of its own.<\/p>\n
When asked how other gym-goers react to her screaming, she says: \u201cWe all train in the same environment and share a close-knit community, and I\u2019ve made great friendships in this high-energy environment. Most people at my gym do it (scream) too, and they\u2019re very used to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
She\u2019s seen the hate comments, but is not affected by them at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t unsettle me, because I stand firmly behind my message. I\u2019m self-aware enough to understand what I represent, and confident enough to put myself out there and stand my ground,\u201d she adds.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As for the comparisons to the \u201cscreaming plane influencer\u201d and the jokes that followed, Khai Wern has seen them as well, but says: \u201cI laughed about the reference. I thought it was really hilarious.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the wave of negativity online, Khai Wern chooses to stand by what she shared.<\/p>\n
She says: \u201cIf my message triggers you, that reaction says more about the system we\u2019re used to than about me. Resistance doesn\u2019t make me retreat \u2014 it reinforces my purpose. I\u2019m not here to fit comfortably into outdated expectations; I\u2019m here to challenge them.\u201d<\/p>\n
