In a YouTube video shared on Jan. 21, 2026, <strong>he showcased his leg training session seven weeks from competing at the Arnold Classic, set for March 5\u20138 in Columbus, Ohio.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/martin-fitzwater-profile\/\">Martin Fitzwater<\/a> has been on a roll in the IFBB Pro League. He managed to secure fifth place at the stacked <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-mr-olympia-results\/\">Mr. Olympia<\/a>, which was won by Derek Lunsford. \u201cThe Martian\u201d proved himself against top threats, including <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/nick-walker-bodybuilder-profile\/\">Nick Walker<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/brandon-curry-profile\/\">Brandon Curry<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/tonio-burton-out-of-2024-mr-olympia\/\">Tonio Burton<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He had another chance to face off against former Olympia winner <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/samson-dauda-profile\/\">Samson Dauda<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/2025-evls-prague-pro-results\/\">Prague Pro<\/a>. It was a close event, but Fitzwater nailed his peak to secure his second title. We want to eliminate that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 id=\"one-leg-two-leg-lying-hamstring-curl\"><strong>One-Leg\/Two-Leg Lying Hamstring Curl<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Moving on, he shared how he adjusts the lying hamstring curl machine for the deepest contractions possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cAs you go through the motion, it\u2019s going to get heavier because you\u2019re going to start to pick up that bottom pegged weight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is a good thing to know, especially if you\u2019re a powerlifter, to kind of be able to work different ranges of strength. As a bodybuilder, we can also manipulate this to be able to work in our advantage of the muscle belly, and being able to get the deepest contraction, as well as being able to control the weight.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 id=\"smith-machine-romanian-deadlift\"><strong>Smith Machine Romanian Deadlift<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>He prefers the Smith machine RDLs over the barbell because it feels safer and helps with stability demands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote align-center\">\n<p>\u201cThe Smith doesn\u2019t have the stops on the hooks, so it feels almost exactly like a barbell, just on a smooth track.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a nice way to lock into the RDL movement to be able to work some heavy weight here, but still feel safe, and some of the stability aspects. We\u2019ll work up to a top set and see what we can do.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 id=\"hip-press\"><strong>Hip Press\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For the final exercise, he jumped on the hip press, noting that the goal was to get a big stretch on the glute and hamstrings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just going to finish both those things off here in the leg press. Feet are placed high and kind of wide. Knees are going out to essentially the outside of our delts.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s going to make sure we get a big stretch on the glute, a big stretch on those hamstrings, and as we drive through, we are thinking about driving down and back to make sure that glute and hamstring is really firing through.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To lay claim to gold in Ohio, Fitzwater will have to defeat a crop of the world\u2019s best. Among the favorites are Hadi Choopan and <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessvolt.com\/andrew-jacked-profile\/\">Chinedu Andrew \u2018Jacked\u2019 Obiekea<\/a>. They took second and third place at the Mr. Olympia. Additionally, Walker aims to redeem himself after missing the mark in Vegas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fitzwater boasted some of the best conditioning in the IFBB Pro League at his last outing.
